Nonprofessional Experiments (NoPE) is an umbrella name for various projects by art critic and writer Raphael Rubinstein and visual artist Heather Bause Rubinstein, including publishing, curating, and art fair presentations. The name comes from musician James Murphy’s comment that the band he created, LCD Soundsystem, “was always supposed to be a nonprofessional experiment.”
